On Leave First Hunt

My son was given leave for Christmas and was fired up ready for some duck hunting. Got him licensed up, geared up and ready to go Thursday morning. As it can happen a pond that I hunted a couple times and had been keeping an eye on had been holding some of everything. Mallards, Gadwall, Wood Duck, Wigeon, Pintail and teal was pretty devoid yesterday morning. He was able to drop a mallard hen, pintail hen and a teal but unfortunately the teal was crippled and managed to swim off into some brush. We looked for awhile but it got hung up under water somewhere.
All in all the smile says it all and thats all this dad looks for. More days out to come.

Is your son airborne infantry?
I got that idea somewhere.
He looks like a lean, mean, fighting machine to me.

AB I believe he's listed as 82nd Airborne but he is an 18xray, S.F
Candidate.

Screaming Eagle here.
Quite proud of that!
Your son is obviously a badass since he went through paratrooper school successfully.

Well he's still a boot, graduates in March. My wife and I are going and I've got Ronnie at RM turning a Gold Digger and Aaron Wingert is turning a whistle. Both out of African Blackwood. Going him in a presentation box. After boot hr goes to jump school, then a small unit tactics school then SF school.
