You were in pretty good company. Only hunted with Brian once, but he seemed a first rate fellow.

ALTHOUGH we both got the finger by specks this trip more then we ever have in our lives and he has 30 years of speck experience and I have 26.

The birds have wised up,it will get to where they are uncallable,it is coming

Kinda like ducks, it'll get to where your setup is what brings them in and calling just iced the cake in flooded fields. As long as you have young birds you'll still kill. Mallards are still as gullible as ever.

What I meant was mallards will generally respect the call and work if you've got your bases covered. Not taking it for granted, but Rick always comments on how they work well to the call, that's been my experience as well when you see where they want to be or don't mind going.

I'd gladly not use my spinners if they were outlawed, but it's got to stop up north first. I know that might not be popular, but I'll use mine as a tool when I feel like it's helping break traffic as long as they are legal. I'll also turn them off the second I think they need to stop spinning.

Good luck this weekend. Weather going to change a lot from Saturday to Monday.
