And moves through quickly. That's the important part to keep the rain to a minimum. When they stall, that's when the rain totals skyrocket.

Just when our marsh was back to it's old self - another possible storm - poopy

I can see that. I'm used to where it's not really the wind and waves to worry about that much. Makes good TV. It's storm surge and floods unless it is a monster.

I would assume moving through quickly still helps with the waves, but not much with the storm surge.

Hopefully it gets disorganized going over Mexico and stays that way.

Hard not to be reminded of Ike showing up for the 2008 opener and all but wiping that one out.

I think it's a real good possibility that Irma will head into the gulf. There's a high pressure system out there that's going to slide just a bit south and push Irma west. Hope I'm wrong. 50/50

What seems particularly scary about this storm. The current track shows that it is STILL a major hurricane after it has gone all the way Lake Okeechobee.

The models keep shifting east lately. Lets hope that trend continues.

Damn! I hate to hear that Bear..... I have two bum shoulders that I'm babying. I can hear the funny noises they make when I start to over do it, not to mention the touch of pain. I have to stay mind full of them at all times. I let the younger ones do the heavy lifting.....sometimes.....
