Wow that's big news! It's about time. However I'd be willing to be they are going to be a may issue state and make it so hard for people to get permits might as well not have them. Just like Hawaii.

That's what I'm expecting from this. They will make it as hard as possible to get a permit, and have outrageous fees. At least it's a step in the right direction. We will just have to see where it goes from here.

The idea of having a permit to CC is outrageous. I'm still thankful Georgia was just a $30 fee and a background check though.

I am so glad that I no longer live in that retarded ass state. NO OFFENSE TO ANYONE WHO LIVES THERE. I know Chicago should be its own country but it is just amazing how they think people are so helpless when it comes to defending themselves.

It's as obvious as the freaking sun in the sky- concealed carry (and increased access to guns in general) decreases violent crime. It's a fact, backed up by FBI stats and local research. But yet it's simply ignored. These people piss me off.

If banning guns makes the public so safe how do they explain the violence in Chicago??
