Glad ya'll killed some quality birds. Traveling to hunt 3-4 days in a row can be grueling, but rewarding to see that it paid off

"a waterfowler’s dream:...very nice guys who were aware they didn’t know a lot about duck hunting, wore face masks, and held their water till I called the shot."

Weather sounded grand, too.

Awesome hunt! I would have loved to be in the blind with snow falling.

Reads like a good time.

In the picture with the blind and your pup, what is that grass you have around the blind?

Appears the longest leaved palm matting I've seen. Might be just the thing for your marsh...

The grass attached to the blind. I've been looking hard for something like that to cover the runway of the aircraft carrier we sit in. I found some UV rated artificial stuff that looks good, but it's too expensive.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

I'm going to order the "Avery real grass" from Dicks, (3) kits of (4), 4'x4' mats. I can cut those in half to cover the top of the boat hide, standing vertical, drape a couple of full mats to cover the boat entrance, with the slit in the middle, and use a couple to cover the top of the pit. I can actually weave in roseau tops into these mats.
