BGcorey, welcome and I look forward to another Louisiana log. I'm also a private and public land hunter, and keep it pretty low-key for similar reasons you were concerned about.

Look forward to seeing your reports! I tend to post mine a few days late and be vague about location as you mentioned. Another thing that is crucial is if you post pictures, make sure the location services were turned off on the phone they were taken on. If your buddy takes a picture with his location services on, sends it to you, and you post it here, the location data is still stored in the picture and anyone can download the pic to their phone and know exactly where you were. Many a public land spot has been lost to that.

wow, I actually just tried that using someone who sent me a random picture earlier today and it showed the location the pic was taken..... thats scary... and possibly handy at the same time

Starting to see more and more of that nasty little plant in the ditches around creole. You can tell where the salt water starts..nothing there.

I'm curious about the weevil collection process, IE did they just scoop up sick, infested salvinia for redistribution?

And I was thinking you were transporting weevils, not salvinia & weevils. That was before I saw the buckets. Guess they figure no harm in transporting salvinia to salvinia. Glad to hear they're effective little critters

Since we didn't take a vacation this year, yea I have several more vac days left for the fall than normal.
