That’s where ours went. Seems like we get the south edge of those birds but when it warms up they go back to Arkansas. Didn’t see any geese along kilbourne highway driving out today...pretty odd

I got one of those and a widgeon drake with a great sprig and fully plumed waiting for your word to bring them over. I assume you want to finish your season before I do so no hurry.

Yeah, me too.

Nice job, I’ve had to tell a lot of people over last 2 years to hold their water on specks that they think are “right there” that are actually 40 yards away at a minimum. If you don’t consistently work geese out of same blind like you do and I do (just not as successfully yet) you can’t properly judge distance.

I let a few guys try a single this year that was too far just to prove a point Ok. now that y’all see what I mean, let me call the shot, and I don’t care that you’ve got the latest and greatest super full choke.

Made me smile. I find them like pintails and tend to figure "that's it" when they stop losing altitude, no matter how many times they might circle or pass, they're probably not getting any lower. Don't know but what that attitude works against me, too, but I've come by it honestly.

AJ texted me that they're up to 361 for the season in Arkansas, but I'm inclined to think that not nearly as impressive as your consistency here.

I don't know. Looks a lot like the birds were the ones in "severe trouble".

While driving a day or two ago, I watched a little bunch of specks make the square turn around a flooded field's corner to avoid flying over it and thought about how much fun hunting one of our crawfish pond "speck blinds" would be just now. Knocked the knees out from under any envie to hunt watching them fly might have stirred.

What a blessing you have in being able to control your own land use and water.

Very nice, John. One more week to go. I was outside after dark yesterday evening at home and heard some specks on the move.

I wrote a long, whiny paragraph on Rick's log that I'll spare you, but I wanted to say I appreciated the information and perspective I get from learning about your hunts. I don't know many dedicated goose hunters, so sharing your hunting success is especially valuable.
