I know everything about catching salmon out there. Ultra-light rod, some sort of bright colored jig, some spikes to tip the hook with, and a flasher. Drill holes and move until you find em.
I can catch my 10 fish limit every time on the reg res.

I have never truly ice fished. Just want to catch some salmon. I Have a hand auger and rods thats it.

I have never truly ice fished. Just want to catch some salmon. I Have a hand auger and rods thats it.
You're fucked. Might get lucky and get a few if you set up in a hot spot but they cruise all over the water column.

Posted: Tue Jan 14, 2014 3:21 pmI just got a new bird, ice 55. Very, very sharp unit. Was fishing side by side with FL-18's (similar price) and all those guys kept commenting on how nice the bird looked. The zoom feature on the vexi is a bad joke by comparison.
