Date: Saturday, Jan 11, 2020

Hunters: Larry and I with Abby

Temp: 65 degrees wind W 5 - 15 mph

The storm passed through between 3:00 and 5:00 am. Not as many ducks moving this morning as the day before. Most of the ducks would get up move 100 yards to the next pothole and sit. We had some missed opportunities again, mostly from Larry's side as he was playing with his new phone.

Totals: Greenwing teal - 7, Gadwall - 1

Date: Sunday, Jan 12, 2020 (my last day to hunt this season)

Hunters: Larry and I with Abby

Temp: 45 degrees, wind NNE to NE 8 - 10 mph

Back at out #10 blind, nothing moving early, no shots being fired in our marsh. At 8:00 the duck we shot at was a too far Gadwall that left unscathed. Soon after that a boat was moving in the area and that got the ducks moving. We did not get our limit, but the chances were there. Us two old guys could not catch up with a few fast flying teal groups.
it was a descent season that ended well. I will post season totals later.

Totals: 8 - Greenwing teal, 2 - Pintail

Good to see ya'll had some birds this year. I'm hoping we get a redistribution of what makes it here next year. You must be on the eastern end of the westward shift.

Darren - no hunters on Sunday - last Saturday nite at the camp did them in.
Reports are Friday 2 blinds hunted 3 men each one blind had 8 ducks the other blind had 9 ducks
Saturday - the hunters that had 8 on Friday also had 8 on Saturday, the other blind said they should have done better but 2 good flights of teal came and left without a shot being fired - I think they had 6 ducks.
I had a good season - I only had 2 weekends that were not very good.
