Layout blinds

I was building them before you could buy them. Called it a coffin blind.
Someone finally built my design with modern materials.
The only difference is I made mine out of luan and builders foam.
The foot area on mine was bigger so I could put the dog at my feet and use a small ready heater. Did not bother with doors. Designed them blinds to fit me, dog, and heater. Not very portable but they worked. Scouting the path geese use helped me locate them in the right place. I quit using them but I bet someone does.
This looks a lot like what I built.

Not to hijack your thread but isn't it funny that Cabela's put out a waterfowling catalog with nothing but their stuff in it after they canned Avery.

Here's an even better one. Northern Flight Decoys used to be made by GHG... Don't know if they still are now.

To the subject of pre-layout layouts: we used to do just that and pull some cover over us. Snow required special pains: a piece of Visqueen, surplus mountain sleeping bag and old bed sheet. We'd land our Canadas and try to throw all that clear before they got too far underway.
