Anybody use them? Like or dislike, pros or cons.

A lot of guys use them out on the Bay hunting divers, but I've never seen or heard of them being used for puddle ducks or on smaller water. Doesn't mean it doesn't happen, or wouldn't be a good idea, I've just never heard of it.

When you say "spreader" are you talking about the jerk rigs that hold a dozen deeks spread out on 3 pinwheel type set ups or (?)?

I thought he was talking about the triple boards. Maybe not.

Haven't used those, usually I just toss my texas rigged decoys in a decoy bag and leave them there till next season.

Talking about these, could see them being useful while hunting my ponds with goose and duck dekes. I usually do the same GKR, on ponds with no growth and deeper water these look handy.

Those are Y boards Assa. You can only use those while body booting.

Which apparently is illegal here. Add yet another thing I've been doing for years to the "Turns Out I Was Breaking The Law" category.

Are you serious? I thought that was the only way many guys hunted a little north of you.

It's only legal to hunt standing on the bottom in the Susquehanna flats, some non-tidal Potomac water, and at a licensed blind site (done through a draw in July). Otherwise, and on all public land, you're not allowed to hunt from the bottom. Ridiculous, isn't it? I just found about that last year, but it's been on the books forever. Same with waterswatting, using natural vegetation, and probably mojos at Assateague. But I haven't checked that last one yet.

I think they would be best while using long lines, so they arent all in perfect lines. Maybe not?

I have a bunch of them. Use to use them but don't use them anymore since texas rigged. They don't work very well in deep water. small pond they will but it is just as easy to texas rig.

Thanks Clyde. Was hoping to hear they worked awesome. Guess I will stick to the Texas rigs.

They get bent, snap swivels break, take too much time to set up if you pull the decoys off. If you don't pull the decoys off it makes them awkward to carry. texas rig is faster and does the same thing without extra pieces.
