Need some new waders for next season. They need to be warm.
I'm looking at the Cabalas 1600 super mags or the Rogers tough man waders. Anybody have one of these or heard anything good or bad? Or have any other recommendations.

I was looking into them at the end of last season and Swamp said they looked like top notch waders to him. Cant remember if he had a pair or if someone else he hunted with did.

I had a pair of the 1600's, warmest waders I've owned but I only got 2 seasons out of them before I sprung a leak. No experience with the others.

That's what a lot of the reviews said. If I'm going to drop $260 on waders they better last more than 2 years.

My Macks didn't last one season before both legs were leaking. I woykf choose by warranty and service.

I'm kinda leaning towards the cabalas. I have a store 15min from my house and they are supposed to have a really good return policy if I ever have problems with them.

To me that would be a no brainer. A friend has used the 1600s for many years and still likes them. His hunting does not abuse waders though.

I'm fairly easy on waders. They probably get used 25 times a year and generally it's a boat ride and then walking on a hard sand bottom. Maybe one or 2 hunts a year where I have to bust a little ice.

I have the 1600 from Cabelas and that have served me well for years. Feet stay warm, which is important to me.

My feet get cold easy. My waders now are 1200 and with wool socks I still get cold feet on the cold days.

1600 will end your cold feet, they work well

Try putting a wool insole in them, I thought it helped a little.

Just finished my 5th season with a pair of the Cabelas Super Mags and they started leaking towards the end of this season. A small portion of the seam tape came loose in the crotch. Would buy another pair in a heartbeat.
