Just throwing this out there, and ya'all probably already know it,...
but shivering doesn't always equate to being cold. I would say more times than not, it's anticipation.
My last lab would shiver during an entire hunt, and anytime someone would comment about how cold he was,
I'd release him and sure enough,...he'd be right out there swimming amongst the ice cubes.
He was pretty good "duck radar" too. When you'd get a flock sneak in on ya, his teeth would really get to chattering!

His spot was always at the bow of the boat, peeking out of my scissor blind.
Well, I could hear his teeth chattering like crazy, but after checking the dekes, and searching the sky, I didn't see any ducks.
So I turned around in my chair and he was literally nose to beak with a Great Blue Heron!
