Answer me this boat man. It's got hollow fiberglass stringers going crossways under the floor. But there must be something between the hull and that.... Waterlogged foam? It's like there's water seeping up through that layer of fiberglass. The crazy thing is the boat is pretty light and I've seen videos of the guy running the boat hauling ass just a few months ago. Obviously the boat has had these issues liger than a few months.

I'd refoam it either way. Looks like a fun project.

I've never seen a hollow stringer flint, is this a fiberglass hull? Normally the stringers are glassed to the hull.

So far there's no wood except the decking. I accidentally cut j to the stringer with the saw and they are hollow.

Make sure you do a good job! When you buy my boat and throw that one into the deal I want a solid rig!

Flint. High velocity fans are your friend. Get a couple blowing through the cockpit 24/7 and that will help speed up the drying out process a lot.

Any of you regular guys I trust, I have a pinless moisture meter i would be happy to ship out for y'all to borrow if your looking at boats with floors, it doesn't guarantee you'll detect dry rot but it is a great help in weeding out problem areas in boats. Expensive tool, in use it so little it would do my cold heart good to see it used

Time to clean up. Looks like I'm gonna have to work around the rear bench which is made out if aluminum. So I'll lay up the back first. Let it all dry then install the bench back there before working my way to the front of the boat.

No, just boards. Then the water would drain down into the bilge, and nothing would stay wet.

Here's where she sits for now. Got the boat all vacuumed out and moved it to the garage. Got the dehumidifier running full blast. Hopefully everything will be dry and ready to rebuild in a few days.

Put a tarp over it.

Thought about it but I dont want to have to vacuum the water out after every hunt.
Actually got in touch with the builder of the boat. It's a one of a kind. He asked for my number so I'm waiting for a call so I can learn more about it.

Well guys for any who are interested in this project I've just spoken with the builder of this boat. His name is Gordy Oates and he is the owner of duckmaster calls in lonoke Arkansas. Great guy and he gave me a ton of info on the boat
It was a company that they tried to start up building these things in the early 90s. Tons of equipment was bought, and only three of these were made. Gordy has one. His buddy has one and I have one. Apparently something went wrong with his financial backing and the project got put on hold and was never restarted. He said the front half of the outside hull is Kevlar and could take a bullet. They were built to be light weight and sturdy for Arkansas timber. The only wood was the floor. He suggested that I get a piece of fiberglass sheeting made instead of putting wood back down on the floor. I'm not sure I can afford that though. The boat being this old and just now having the floor replaced I think I'm ok with going back to wood. He also had a bunch of snap on tops that go over the blind made up and he's gona send me a couple of those. I thought it was pretty cool of him. His website is Www.arkansasduckmaster.com check him out he's a good guy who has done me a big favor.

I'd put a round through it and call him a liar.
