Have any pics of the inside? I hear so much about these boats but you never see them down here.

I don't think I have any of the cockpit ....

Next time I've over at my torage place I'll get some for you guys....

As far as hunting, its just depends on the situation. Typically grass it up and nose it onto the shore or into the reeds, you'll then be gunning over the motor....

How big is that motor? I'm looking at an old 7.5 to "upgrade" my hybrid, but am afraid that would be overkill.

No man has ever muttered "I think I have too much horse power".

I got sound advise when buying my current boat motor, "Just because you have it doesnt mean you have to use it, but if you need it its always there.

The problem is that a lot of these small
motors don't have neutral. With the 3.5 and such a light boat, with the throttle almost dying, I'm still coming into the launch or tooling the reeds pretty hot. But then when I go back out to big water with tide and wind, I need the power. A conundrum.

Assa many of those barnegats are displacement hulls and can take the high HP. It also helps them to keep the nose up in heavy chop rather than planing out and nosing into them. Ive got an old 10hp if you ever want to try it out on that hybrid, or the 25 hp :scooter:

If its not a displacement hull, then is not a TRUE BBSB.....but thats another argument....LOL With a displacement hull you will not get that boat to plane out....

Not too sure officially what my hybrid hull would be classified as, but I honestly suspect I could put a 50 horse on it, and it would still push water rather than plane out  Some days it just needs a little more ass than others.

If you put a 50hp on the back of that, I have a feeling it'd look like this:

Thank you. I never knew you just put the end stuff in the YouTube blocks. I tried to embed it, but didn't quite work when I put the whole thing in there.

They purposely do that with those boats. I can't remember what it's called tho, but you throw a big motor on a little boat, trim it out, and sail the front end like that.

Just copy everything after the "=" sign. Some youtube vids have a second = and some more junk, just forget about the second part.

I believe the term you are looking for is "STUPID".

The boat thing, not you.

Eh, everyone gets their kicks one way or another. As long as they aren't hurting anyone but themselves, no sweat off my back.
