Posted: Sun Mar 23, 2014 5:53 pmI prefer to go the other way. Turn a Jon boat into a bass boat. But for 6k as long as everything works you could make it work. Long runs wouldn't be a problem at 75mph.

Use cordura for your blind, with netting on top of it for vegetation/raffia to attach. As long as it meets the water there's no need to paint.

For the best advice on building a boat blind look up the thread on TK's boat blind thread.
Nothing wrong with using a fiberglass bass boat to hunt ducks from. As mentioned break out the camo netting and crank the sounds up.

I recently almost traded my jon boat for a 2008 18 ft welded aluminum smoker craft gutted out and made into a duck boat. Bitch was 78 inches wide too. Dude got wise and backed out of the deal though.
