Roof on duckboat

What do you think about having roof on duckboat blind or just leaving top area open.Hunting north shore of Long Island wher grass doesnt work so well,boat is just dark green and black to match rocks and gettys

Some people use metal for their boat blinds :)

Are you hunting sea/diver or puddle ducks?

Put a roof on it. That can fold up and down. If puddlers or geese start working, flip it up. Divers you don't really even need a blind...at least around here.

Steve, Welcome to WFF, where new guys are treated with respect and admiration. Check with TomKat about building boat blinds, he might even sell you the plans and video. :mrgreen:

Puddle ducks and geese are likely to come in from up high, so I would definitely put a roof on there.
