I'm painting my 14' star craft up and I started preping yesterday after work.

Yesterday and today I removed the decals and glue (which was a bitch)

Then used scotch bright painters pads to remove/rough up the gel coat.

Tomorrow I'll flip it over and put the first layer of primer on.

Tells us what primer and paints you used. Did you remove the old paint first? Or just scuff it up? Looking forward to the finished product.

As grim as it is, it honestly isn't a horrible idea. Probably less grim if you don't write "send the bodies to (address)"

Paint the bottom black with a school of white fish silhouettes the size of large minnows to attract fish.

Later this week I'll put on the accents colors.

I'm not as happy with the paint job as I was hoping to be. But Lou was very helpful with picking out paints and a thanks to Tbaker for his help.

I have to ask, so sorry if it's a little late, but why did you go with cat tail colors instead of open water colors?

Also, I picked the greyest green I could find with the hope that it will work for both open water and marshy situations.

lol... I expected you to say that.
I'm upgrading to a 25hp motor next year, figure it will be easier to sell with original paint.
