It's all in the experience...... I sure hope we have a normal summer and fall with rain, and that we have no hurricanes.

I have fully embraced that I enjoy the offseason work more than the hunting itself.

No doubt hoping for another quiet tropical season, really need to give our depleted SAV a chance to come back if we have any hope for a decent marsh season this fall. With all the rain and the much higher MS River, the salinities have thankfully returned to normal in the area.

Got the flat boat squared away at the camp Friday afternoon, brought all my marsh decoys home and hung in attic. That frontal passage Friday night was no joke, cold north wind ripping on the camp porch Saturday morning.......had zero desire to go out and about in it! Bay boat is headed in for break-in service tomorrow, we're getting lined out for spring fishing down there.

And that's the great advantage of a coastal camp.

Ready to start slinging some snagless sallies and speed worms myself, as soon as these fronts allow the water to heat up a little.

On another note, have a friend that hunted AR conservation goose hunts last Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and whacked the shet of of''em. Big pile pics, and the last day they 217 :o

Get 'em! Glad their hard work (or the guides) paid off given how often it doesn't with the snows.
