Yes sir, I've been messing with the same 392 gadwall since season started, they know what my plastic decoys look like...
Trigger and I would like to hunt tomorrow, but I can't come up with a plan... Back to scouting a different area, pretty brisk wind tomorrow so that will put a damper on things...

Your post a couple weeks back of “two decoys” and now stale ducks made me think of this company. Basically hunting over rudimentary taxidermy.

I stole the "stale ducks" from one of PorkChops post...

I was hunting in a pretty good size Bay today, the ducks that I watched they won't even land with live ducks, they land out away from them and then swim to them...
It's a hard place to hunt but was my last option, so we tried it, and failed miserably... I chatted back and forth with a couple Mallard hens they seem to like my Daisy cutter but not well enough to come close...
Actually had a good time this morning observing ducks, glad they're in the area... Long range forecast doesn't look very good but if I could get some different weather it might stir things up...

Moe had a big time yesterday scouting, he's always been fascinated with birds, and there were plenty of coots, cormorants, and seagulls for him to be excited about...

New birds or spot?

(Have to admit cringing when I saw Moe on the casting deck, as I have a friend who got a three-legged Lab that way. Been an "All paws on the main deck when underway." rule with mine since. End of sermon: am sure me and mine do plenty others wouldn't.)

"new birds" I don't know maybe, not a huge influx if that's what you're thinking...
"New spot" not really, but kind of sort of...

We were underway, but barely, nothing rides up there... Thanks for the tip, I appreciate it...

And it’s tough to keep the pooches off the front deck! My boat is so weight sensitive that we start to plow water if June goes up there.

Sorry about the vagueness, was just posting truthfully, hard to explain everything in a one liner... Haven't hunted that spot in years, but is it new? Kind of sort of explains why I don't really know whether their new birds or not...

I do take all of Rick's tips seriously... Moe fell off that deck on his maiden voyage in that boat, years ago... Don't "keep those sermons to yourself"...
