All I have to go on upland hunting in the rain is pheasant hunting and I don't do very well... Also don't have very much experience at it, three times in 19 years...
It looks like I'll have tomorrow and Saturday to practice

Like sharptails will do so many wing beats then glide wing beats glide wing beats glide, pheasants and Partridge is usually constant wing beats until they glide for a good distance. Well partridge don’t go very far typically they only usually fly less than 100 yards. I have been seeing some more but I have not sent you the locations as it’s been around on harvested crap. We had a bunch in the goose decoys this morning. Didn’t want to shoot them with BBs

Like being first back to the boat house: pride turns to envy when you hear the guys that can still be out there shoot. Sweet to have such upland ops within reasonable drive.

This is sarcasm but I think you can see Canada from his house...so I wouldn't consider that a reasonable drive, but it is from here...

From which we may extrapolate that the drive home would be unreasonable. But for a chance to meet Vinnie Quack and crew...

One of the reasons I chose it... If you click on it and zoom in he has a pretty Sly (proud) look...
PorkChop wrote:Are you able to hunt Doves or is that a different license? Still a bunch up here so I’m guessing there should be plenty down there. we ended up with a little over 2 inches of rain. It’s a muddy mess! Did nothing for the potholes though!
