Hope so. (Haven't hunted a wigeon grass area since '83 in Pecan Island. Just see it on some Grand Chenier stuff we pick.)

Finally made it back to the marsh to prep for teal, and believe we're good. Lots of confusion over who'll be with me tomorrow, between storm-altered work schedules, an as yet unfilled Miami Corp gator tag and coach that hasn't yet canceled Sat practice in honor of the opener. So I'm taking Dub, the owner's boyfriend and about as good an ol' boy as a someone of his means can be and maybe the ball playing grandson. Looking forward to his game tonight, regardless.

Were clouds of teal in the marsh, albeit mostly over "the body" well to the east of where I'll be, so it ought to be a fine time. Neil, who's been there daily, said they showed with the storm, but I doubt it hurt that there were hunters doing last minute prep pushing them out of the rice all along my route to the marsh.

Game was a blue ribbon winner for grandson and team against a larger opponent that was expected to beat them. Suspect coach gave them this morning off, and so did I, as the game ran quite late and there was celebrating to be done, pretty little cheerleader girlfriend and all. Maybe tomorrow...

Sounds like a fine Friday night

Good luck out there this AM, I'm going to go wake up lil man, though unfortunately with far more dismal prospects. We did get some great blind work done yesterday afternoon that he was a huge help on, though.
