Unless something else takes precedence, I usually make a pass to shake a few hands but generally don't stay long. All sounds the same to my tin ear.

Old friend from the Faulks calls lineage that I'd brought along with you sometime is participating I think, and would also just like my son to take some of that in. With the fate of your past outfit, I've been missing my at least 1-2 time a year immersions into Cajun country, where you can feel duck season's presence (or coming) as much or more than anywhere else in the state, and certainly a million times more than here in BR.

I really miss the days when you could step outside and hear a call or two most evenings or stop by a convenience store and find guys giving each other's calls a go in the parking lot. And the seasons when even the old ladies greeted you with "Did you kill?"

Went to the marsh yesterday with the excuse of poisoning lilies that would hide some of our gator baits come September and encountered a significant increase in the number of black-bellies around Neil's blind. Having moved more of them in virtually every marsh we picked this summer had been a bit worrisome, but I feel better now...

Have you noticed them commonly shift one marsh to the other? Or prefer the CR marsh at certain points on calendar?

May well just be paying more attention now that they're such an important part of the bag, but have always found them far fewer in number there in the summer than winter - just not thought it as few as I've seen using CR this summer. But I've not seen as many as expected in the rice to date, either. So maybe my eyesight is going the way of my hearing...
