I'm looking to buy my first single reed call and I have narrowed it down to two calls, the RNT original and short barrel. I was wondering which call would be a good call to start learning on? I will also be using the call primarily for field hunting if that helps.

Lot of guys on here have good knowledge about the RNT products. I'm sure you'll get some good guidance here shortly.

I have an RNT original and like it alot it's not too hard to blow and has good range. I can't speak for the short barrel thoigh

Thanks for the input, I was leaning towards the original so it look like I'll head that direction.

Original will give you more range in the field as well. SB is a great call but I tend to use it in smaller areas. The original is just so easy and so sweet to run.

He's my uncle too. Didn't know I had a cousin in Cali. But Butch doesn't know jack about duck hunting. Deer hunting sure, not ducks though.

Lol. Part of my family is originally from a small community just north of Stuttgart. No joke. Am I related to butch? Probably not but it is Arkansas so it's possible.:):)
