I'm look for a keel grabber mold to pour my own weights. 8 oz would be prefect, but 10 oz would work too.
If you have an old one, or happen to make them, please let me know.
I'll buy one from Cabelas if necessary, but wanted to try here first.

Don't mean to butt in here, but bondo (auto body filler) will last longer than wood.

I made a J shape out of 3/8 plywood, wraped it in tinfoil and pressed it into a block of putty. Let it cure, remove plywood, bevel the edges so your anchors won't stay stuck in the mold and you're good to go. I think I've poured about 75 anchors out of it and it's still good. Just make sure you make the mold thick so it can handle the heat. 1 1/2" should be plenty.

Just be careful when you're making it, or you'll end up with a bunch of weights that look like cock-n-balls.

My concern was getting the mold to the correct size for the weight I need, and having it get too hot when I poor it
I'm no wood worker, so that wasn't an option in my book. The bondo seems like a good easy alternative though.

I have some I could copy and cut out with a scroll saw. Wood has been used for lead molds for many years.

If you're willing to put in the time, I'd be me than happy to send some cash your way.
Thanks, Jarbo.
