Fired up

Postby Lamboicon » Mon Aug 27, 2012 7:50 pm

My brother called and said he saw three flocks of about 30 birds and on the way to dinner tonight saw a small flock drop in on a small pond. I'm waiting on some line and weights to finish up my last sets of decoys. also my brother sent a pic of a few birds

I have early geese till the 15th then early teal. So I'm using early geese to scout for teal. Still very new to duck hunting and I'm learning as I go. I started hunting last year with a great woodie hunt and all I can think about is duck

You're new, I'll let that one go, but your last sentance could be changed around very easy with one little letter change

I still giggle like a 5th grader when you guys talk about 'woodie hunting'.

They usually leave my area before season starts, but if I ever kill one I'll be sure to refer to it as a 'Wood Duck'.

Friends don't let friends hunt woodies!
Sounds like a good bumper sticker.

Oh no, I'm totally a woodie hunter. The more flamboyant looking, the better. Only problem is they come quick and leave even faster with you sitting there wondering what just happened.

I like to do early goose on the water to get me geared up and work out things for duck season.

9 weeks, 2 days, 12 hours and 24 minutes for me.............23 minutes. For ducks that is, and that's a countdown for when my alarm will go off to get up. I am sure I will wake up 30 min early, always do opening day.

Dove season starts this weekend here. Can't wait, god created the dove so man would be more proficient at killing ducks in October.
