Grandpa would just take the body to a stand of timber that was blown down before they would start to log. You put the body under the stump, cut the log off, the stump rights itself and looks like it was never tipped over. The mean while you now have a 4 ton stump and 4 feet of root wad sitting on top of body.

When I work in the woods making skid rows with a crawler and pushing old stumps out of the way, sometime you will find old guy wires and cable and blocks and broken chokers. I've never found any bones though.

But to get rid of a body with less work and less driving, we would run it through the christmas tree grinder straight into a septic tank.
