Craigslist can be the cat's pajamas for decoy deals! Not to Eric Hayne's you but this spring a guy had a dozen Dakota Full Body Honkers and a dozen Dakota Mallard Floaters for $200. When I showed up, the mallards were still in the box, and the honkers were in great shape except for two with broken heads. He knocked $15 off for the heads, so I actually walked away with it all for $185. I need to go check CL now...

We've actually got a local dealer here that beats the damn pants off anyone on Dakota prices. He is actually a local feed store that just up and decided to start carrying decoys so he could get a better deal for his buddies. Then he just decided he wanted to beat the pants off all the local guys (Bass Pro, Scheels, Cabelas), so he buys Dakotas by the truckload and sells them dirt cheap. I haven't seen his price list for this year, but last year he was selling floaters for like $129/dozen.

This guy knew what he had, just needed to get rid of them.

That Dakota deal is obscene. I'd have turned those babies around and lined my pockets.

It really is, but Rogers routinely runs them for $139-149 with free shipping, so it's hard to turn THAT much. Although Craigslist is also great for selling shit too. I think I sold about 5 dozen used and abused Storm Fronts last year to the tune of $300.

That being said, they are supposed to be getting their shipment of the Dakota GWT early next week. He is supposed to call me when they get in, if the price is right (which I'm sure it will be), I'd be happy to pick some up for anyone interested since I will already be there.

Rogers was sold out so I bought them at Marsh Mutt for $140

Tell me how much when you do. I don't know if I want them; their paint scheme looked kinda weird to me. I may wait and see if they make it better like they did with their hen mallards.

Lol, it's funny you mention that. The deal I mentioned on the Dakotas earlier was the first generation ones. Sweet baby Jesus those hens are fucking awful. Anybody want a good deal on 5 NIB Dakota hens?

Maybe The Wizard slept in and didn't wave his wand over that one. I've only run the Hybrid and ACH and wouldn't feel crippled with either but wasn't at all tempted to join the cult, either.

Bingo. I actually hadn't heard about them having BWT. I've seen the carving for the Gadwall, so I knew those were coming next year.

I thought they were only bring out one new species per year. Gadwall and BWT would be awesome.
