It’s also National Gumbo Day. Wishing I had a big bowl of it now with saltine crackers. Good stuff.

Just to play devil's advocate a bit. There were a lot of great generals under Hitler. I'm pretty sure Germany should not be recognizing their birth dates.

Granted the Confederacy was not the NAZI regime, but slavery was a great evil and holding on to it was not an insignificant part of what the South was fighting for. There are certainly more than one side to this and some things best left to fade into history which is very different than pretending they did not happen. In that regard, we should never forget lest we repeat it.

It's a difficult thing to respect the white southern heritage without disrespecting the great suffering faced by those with black southern heritage.

The world is a better place given that the south lost. Imagine the mess that would exist if the south had won. It is hard to see how it did not remained a pariah slave nation. How would the south have ever unraveled itself from slavery? Would it look like South Africa? I don't think the north would have allowed the mass immigration of southern blacks that occurred. What a God awful mess that likely would have occurred if the south prevailed.

Just not big on recognizing people that were on the very wrong side of history.

Be careful what we wish for.
I helped olly get a couple sponsors way back...and that was a mistake. Suddenly the mods had teeth. 8-)
I vividly recall warning him about how the misfits would react and woa...what a reaction.
The Duck Dicks top secret FB page was born.
I'd be one of them if it wasn't for Facebook bs.
They still exist. Red, assateague, jehler, etc.

The owner of the refuge and mods were very tolerant of me. It got to a point where a certain mod volunteered to moderate me to keep me out of trouble. A "protector".
I felt so bad for the poor guy that I asked them to just ban me and stop the bleeding. I really hope that the refuge continues to exist they're not bad people and I'm not doing a website vendetta. It may appear that way but it is not. I proudly wear a refuge hoodie still.

I started the entire funk by alerting the admin and mods of a potential storm brewing.
I got the hell out of the woods when the trees started banging into each other. That storm has passed now.

you clearly need to educate yourself on many facts as far as slavery is concerned. Those that believe slavery was the cause of the war are very wrong....nothing more than a speaking point for the north

Hey I'm thinking hard about buying a cheap Chinese diesel heater for my boondocking adventures.
If this works I'll be comfy in muh duck tent.
Has anyone rigged a heated blind with one yet?
A gallon of diesel lasts ten hours for this guy.

Hehe I'll be burning the farm diesel to keep warm.

It was good, Smoky, moist, tender but we only ate the legs. Yesterday we spent a lot of time arguing about which of us this baby resembles.

In 8 to 10 weeks a day old chicken turns into an 8-10 pound bird if you buy this type of bird.
what-are-broiler-chickens-the-humane-league.jpg

They make about 15-20 pounds of bird shit in the process.

Chicken shit! Gotta love it. Shoot that bird up with garlic butter marinade and drop it in some 375 degree peanut oil for 4 minutes per pound. Everyone will be polishing them bones afterwards. Good eating.

Does anyone else have an old coleman or an origo heat-pal? Those two make dry heat. Propane is soggy.

Funny fact....I'd get numerous messages of thanks everytime I trashed ab, because others feared being banned for doing the same...also a curious thought....how many were banned or simply left the fuge over that mudskipper...a few dozen at least. The fuge can handle those losses, this forum can't....just saying

The amount of noise I deal with from my neighbor has escalated since he wrecked his Tahoe.
They've wrecked two more cars? Yup.
About 12 days ago some thug in a red jacket showed up to scream and yell at them for about 4 hours. He stood by my bedroom window we heard it all.
Landlord hasn't collected rent since the pandemic started?!?
That's more than a few coins.
He wants his money...from antifa BLM people?

See what happens when you select tenants based on race?

Two weeks to the central zone opener.
Spinnerman's is a week away.
Yankeegray may extent his season by heading up north my way. Things are starting to move.
I guess YG is pumping water because it's so dry down there.
I guess I should scout a few days.
See if we got any ducks left.

Long ago and far away some guy from Louisiana asked me to watch this.

It's long but very interesting deep stuff about how our money works, who controls it, and how.
The creature has a name.
"Red Shield" in German
There are other funner animated videos too that explain the birth of the creature, how, and when.
If you're curious ask for more.
This creature has grown very powerful but is about to get a face-lift and new look I think.
Indaswamp had me look at the griffin guy. 8-)
Inda is a smart guy.
