The Residents have been around since 1969 and if you look at what they have done for the music community you might eat those words. Just because they aren't a cookie cutter band doesn't mean they don't have talent...since they all can play just about any instrument known to man. Not that it truly matters, or that you care, but they have done all of this completely anonymously. Never been a name associated with anything they have ever done.

and the group was formed in 66 and it wasnt till 74 the were called the residents and their butts still suck buttermilk with straws
Funny you mention Les and Buckethead, which you obviously know little about. They are both a part of the Residents. Better look into your Primus collection one more time and check out the albums Frizzle Fry, Misc Debris, and Rhinoplasty. All contain Residents.
I'm not saying they are talented because I listen to them, but because they are.

wow les was like 3 or maybe 4 when that group started in louisiana and buckethead wasnt born until 69. just because the may have done a show or few with them"which im having trouble winding" dont make them "The Residents" and i never remember hearing that the jack wagons err i mean The Residents have ever released their names. im sure you know them personally so please fill me in
So just because someone joins a band after the conception, that means they are never really in it? Residents have never released any names, ever. It Is a collective of a ton of people, including ones that you supposedly like. No one is asking you to like them, they aren't for you
