Tonight's desert. I it's still almost 2 months till Christmas but hey I ain't complaining that these things hit the shelves already.

And they come running if you got a bucket with anything in it that sounds remotely like cubes. I've called em up several times to the lot with a chain when I forgot to grab a bag.

Pheasant is good, almost forgot how good fried phez legs are. Shrimp and okra are two of my favorite things, has to make a killer gumbo.

Not really, woodcock is closer than quail. It has more natural flavor than they do, both of them are mild and IMO you have to add flavor to them. Pheasant is a firmer, richer meat, slightly darker colored.

That was the last of it for now. A good smoking will make chicken a pretty good meal. Course fried is always better.

Might have to make another trip to malta montana for a combo duck and pheasant shoot,have to chase them things through the russian olives man the pheasants are tick tick there

do yourself a favor and try it, you will not regret it.

i use the tub of lard in the mexican isle at walmart, stays good under the counter.

i season with curry powder, cayenne pepper, fresh black pepper, garlic powder, paprika and pink salt. as thick as they are you have to slow cook it in a covered skillet.

Look for sharptails in those olives also. Had some good combo hunts in MT last week.

seen some the last time I was there hunted in bowdoin.pretty country and smoked the ducks every day for a week and will be back im about ready for another 32 hour straight drive but I gotta remember to bring some tonys seasoning cuz people that food up there is bland but thats cuz im used to seasoned food
