You don't view DHC the way some do because you have power. Don't like someone? You can do something about it. I got banned on DHC for sending a pm to huntfsh where I called him a pussy and said he has no balls.

You have never been banned. I am saying that peoples experiences influence their perceptions.

In fairness to Olly, he has been very tolerant of peoples bullshit, including me.

Don't give me that shit when you clearly know better.

1) I have been banned there, for a bullshit reason as well. Im over it.
2) I have been more than tollerant of you over there sticking my neck out for you multiple times only to have you renig on your word to play nice. I texted you because I got tired of people continually coming to me about you. I don't know how many times I kept you from getting banned, but it takes at least 2 hands to count. I went head to head with the mod that banned you (who shall remain nameless) over his actions and his lack of objectivity on the issue. When an active member is banned, all he admins weigh in on the issue.
3) I have "power" over there, but how many times have I used it or threatened to use it? I regularly have la or dep6 handle an issue because I am involved in it. The discussions that go on in the mod forum prevent a lot more people from being banned than actually get the hammer. I have never used my position over there to my advantage. If I'm involved with something I present it to la or dep and then step away.


Red, I was referring to trolling (not the right term but.I.can't think of anything better) that took place a long time ago. Nothing recent.

Betty, no one is goin to ban you for what you said on facebook, but I'm not really sure what point you need to prove, or who you need to prove it to on there. If you don't like the site, just don't log in. If you are there and don't like it as much as you claim, then you only have yourself to blame. It really is that simple.

How does one moderate "perception"?
Apparently some dhc peeps are upset about our perception and they want/need it changed.

Maybe if they fixed the spam problem our perception of it (and them) might change.

Every time I've ever tried using the excuse "I'm doing the best I can so cut me a little slack" always got me a kick in the ass from a corporate boss so why should we not bust balls on the corporate guy who said it to us?

i agree. While I do wanna see our base grow, too much too fast sends my anxiety thru the roof. One of the reasons I left there in the first place

I find it hilarious that our numbers grow every day. But their are only two new guys that have the stones to talk. Gilla and Frylock.

The others are just watching out for the cornhole. The California clique is strong here...

The best personalities over there have been conspicuously absent for a long time now. I understand that people's lives change and hunting forums aren't everyone's highest priority, but many of the people that I log on to read over there don't show up anymore.
