Well the paper got sent back with no correction so maybe this teacher also realised how stupid that question was.

have a common hour math exam tomorrow. common hour means everyone enrolled takes the test at the same time. professor told us where the exam is, Johnson and room number.

the problem is that there are 4 different places with Johnson in the name, and all have lecture halls. i and several others in our class brought up that fact several time last week, and the professor said she would get back to us on it, well she hasn't. she told us "well i'm sure you'll find it." if i have to search for this place for an hour, i'm gonna flip shit.

I had a test like that last week. I emailed the professor and asked just where this place was. I was surprised when he replied quickly where I was testing. Nice guy.

i'd do that but the professor evidently doesn't know either. i can already see how this ends up playing out, half of the people won't find the place and miss the test.

So, it's Chase's birthday today and he goes to the ISD for special ed on T & Th.

His teacher reminded my wife that if he was planning on bringing a birthday snack that it had to be from the "approved" snack list.

So she got him a bunch of these to hand out instead...

Guessing that might generate a note home too.

decided i'm dropping the math class today, I just can't get anything out of it so i'm just wasting time and pissing away money. I'm going to take a different class next semester that is under a different department head. got to look at the book for that class and it makes perfect sense, they show you how to do it, you do a million of the same problem and you should figure out how to do the problem, instead of teaching the theory of why we would do a problem and then expecting people to know how to do it. or the playing with the calculator stuff.

the test yesterday was actually very well written. no stupid questions on it, it was actually solving stuff. the problem i had was we never actually learned how to solve the stuff.

true, but i'm on a payment plan, so i haven't fully paid for the class yet. I can endure a lot of bullshit, i've been there and done that, i have nothing to prove. I came back here to learn, this class doesn't teach me. I need to be able to do complex math, not understand the language of math, maybe in the very high levels that becomes applicable but for what i need to do that means very little.

there's a difference between quitting and cutting your losses.

Why would you have an issue with a class about commonly accepted world practices?

You are about to pull the classic Chapman without the big FU sound effects. At least I think you'll leave out the speech. If you stand up in class and look at the professor and tell him/her how you feel then you will completely pull it off.
