Shoot Shovel Shut up.
People often times have problems with the last S though.

Sounds like you guys have the same thing with lions as we do with wolves in the northern part of the state. This is the first year they are doing a limited wolf hunt and with the way the anti's are acting you would think that the world is ending. Don't get me wrong, I love wolves, but humans have interjected into every animals life so it is our duty to regulate the now overpopulation. Everyone and their mom gets all up in our business about this crap from all reaches of the country and the globe. You should see the stuff for the stupid bears up in Mr. Rogers neighborhood.

Plenty of people here know the three S's and take care of their own business. It's just a shame they're breaking the law to do so

Red, I know it's CA and all, but don't you have a law where you may shoot predators if they're causing monetary damage? Hell, we even have that here.

I'm not as up on on those laws as Don Taylor is, but I think you are allowed to protect your property. I've never been too concerned with em, cause I'll protect my property regardless

Assa I picked up a perfectly good bungee strap in a parking lot today. Made me think of you.

My goal is to pick up a 5-gallon bucket and then fill it with bungees and ratchet straps before I get home. I think I could do it with a little effort.

My buddy found a ~90% complete 110 piece Craftsman tool set right on a big curve in the highway a few years ago, there were only a few sockets he couldnt find in the gravel. He figured it slid off a farmers flatbed on the curve. That was a good find.

Being to cheap to buy a deer feeder I made my own. The buckets were on sale for $. 99 for that nifty camo pattern.

I would have bought about 25 of those buckets for a buck a pop. I can't find them next to the road that cheap. Holy crap.

I bought the 5 they had. The normal white buckets were still $3.99.

That's crazy cheap for 5-gallon buckets. I use those things all over the place, and it'd be nice to have some that weren't white. I had a brown one, but my wife jacked it for some horse-related nonsense (even though she still denies it, the sonofabitch didn't just walk away, and I know where I leave my stuff), so I'm left with my stack of sheetrock buckets.

Just start buying the farm diesel oil for your wife's truck in the 5 gal buckets. I have seen them in black.....

I have a pile of black buckets with a screw on type ratcheting lock lid. They are water tight. They work great out at hunting camp for carting water around. If you put them out where the sun can hit them most of the day, than you can have warm enough water to bathe or shower with when you get back to camp from your hunt.
I got them for free from a place I used to work for. Now I wish I'd have saved up more of them.
What I really need more of from that place is all the free plastic pallets. Those things never rot or break down in the outside weather. The wood ones rot into the ground.

Yesterday I scored a wacker tacker cap nailer on the side of the road, even had a spare coil of caps ten feet down the ditch. How the hell do you loose that?

It's a bump feeder. The bucket has a hole in the bottom about 1/4" bigger around than whatever size rod you use and a long nail holds the rod in the bucket. When the rod is bumped it moves to one side making the opening large enough for corn to fall through. Hang it from a tree with the end of the rod about 3-4 feet from the ground, spread some corn under it and when the deer come they will bump the rod while they feed. Some people spread pancake syrup or peanut butter on there to first attract the deer.
