Something I discovered today is what u c is what u get... its like a decal sitting on the water surface. Dip slow an it stays pretty much the way u left it.

On the box I sprayed a blob of dark, then light, then dark alternating and not stirring at all. Made a zebra effect sort of. I thought it was cool anyway.

Another thing I found is with spray cans you can spray some light, then mist over the top with dark and the colors mix but if you spray at the water...they don't. Play around. Its fun.

Eventually I'm gonna build a duck blind. Thinking cedar siding that's stained with different colors using this "dip" method would be really easy to hide.
Need to build a long skinny dipping tank.

Dig a trench a little longer than your boat. Line it with plastic then fill it with water. Could easily dip a riveted jon boat by hand with two people one side at a time. The trench wouldn't even have to be that deep.

Swimming pool, Jon boat, paint. Put boat in pool. Toss in the paint. Pull plug on boat, let it sink, then drain the pool.
Camo boat AND pool.

Why not? Front half on one side, then the back half on the same side. Overlap a bit and you're good. The pattern won't line up, but it's camo...

Betty - try floating some grass or reeds in it to see if the pattern will hold.

Because of the sides on the pool. To do a 14 ft boat you'd need an 8-9 foot kiddie pool.
