Not really. Passive-aggressive has never worked on me, it just generally makes me chuckle.

You're more trained to deal with a lot of mind tricks that others aren't, at. It irritates me. The same as someone being "smarmy" or patronizing! My worst trigger is when someone shakes their head at me in a condescending fashion. I want to slap the pigeon poop out of 'em!

I am willing to bet a fair amount of cash that within two years or so after leaving office, Obama and Holder are both indicted on some pretty serious charges. Mark my words.

Consider them marked, WFM! If so, Obama at least would just get a presidential pardon. You get on that level and you don't pay for your crimes.

I wouldn't bet too much on that pardon if Romney got elected.

And it is a valid point that somebody made, although unrelated- Manson didn't kill anybody, to the best of my knowledge. If getting weak-minded people to do what you say is a crime, then the large majority of politicians should be in jail as well.

I often wondered why he was the most villified person on earth, myself. Sure, like you say he orchestrated some pretty terrible things, but there are plenty of serial killers out there who actually wielded a weapon, acted alone, and did far more gruesome acts. Look at John Wayne Gacy. I guess it had to do with his targets. I saw a show once where they showed the artwork he does while incarcerated (plenty of time on his hands ) Pretty freakin' wild stuff that I guess everyone, including the CO's, try to smuggle out of the prison to sell!

Precisely. I guess there is/was a crime there on his part, but for him to effectively be serving life in prison, without ever having killed someone seems wrong. Is he apparently batshit crazy? Probably. Is he dangerous? Don't know, but seems like it. But even so, prison isn't supposed to be where you keep crazy people, it's for criminals. And in my opinion, 40 years is more than enough for whatever he did do. I could google it, I suppose, but what was he charged with?

For the record, I'm also against the "accessory" charges, or whatever they're called. Where a getaway driver sitting outside will be charged with murder if the guy inside goes south and kills someone. The driver didn't do shit- why is he going to prison forever? But if it's a logical extrapolation to hold him culpable, then why not the shooter's parents as well? Where does it stop? Just seems like a ham-handed attempt by authorities to try and get a handle on crime, but that doesn't make it any less nonsensical.

Yeah, I hear ya at. I've read of times where the accomplice didn't even know the other guy had a weapon, or what his plans were, yet they both get the same punishment. The whole "If in the commission of a felony..." thing. Well, it seems more appropriate for the driver to get charged with his crime, say conspiracy to rob a convenience store, but not the murder.
