If it were me, to make it a successful hunt, I would bait it with real corn for a solid week, raise some Canadas to call for me, then use a punt gun to take them down. This is just me though.

Have you even tried calling with the bucket yet? Who knows with everything else you have going there.

If you shoot an Emu over the plond, with confetti corn and sitting in a uni-corn blind I'm going to lose it

Never thought that that emu could be strolling through the corn field nearby. I'll start tapping on the bucket I'm sitting on just for good measure.

Haven't seen or heard any. They just disappeared in the last week, but the weather has got remarkably screwy. Insanely hot and humid, and that may be keeping them put longer. They're still all over the place when I drive around. If I can see any, I don't care how far away, or hear any, without seeing them, I'm going to start calling. I'll occasionally let out a few honks and clucks out of boredom.

I do flag. Tried to flag in a flight of cormorants on Saturday. As a matter of fact. Oops. Although my flag is made from a 2'x2 piece of black plastic stapled to a piece of quarter round I had laying around the shop. It works, and it was free.
