It's strange to me that you guys depend on summer rain. It never rains here between June and August

We average about 14" rain June-August. So far we are 1.5" since June 1st. Still in way better shape than last year.

Crack kills Tom.
Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I live, I will kill you. If I die, you are forgiven." Such is the rule of honor.

That's pretty awesome. I don't think I've seen a 2 day from another state (Not that I am an experienced country wide hunter).

No such luck. They sell way too many at regular price to upland hunters. Still cheaper than anywhere else at $72.50

We'll have to see when the time comes if it will be worth my time/money to get the full fledged permit. Tell Kansas to get their shit together, Nebraska's 2 Day Permit is $56 for all small game...

If I'm not mistaken the $72 permit would get you Upland and Waterfowl, plus stamps and stuff I think it would be about $80 total.

Hope I can find a few birds to make it worth while. Have to go at least a couple hours west before there are pheasant. Sure we could find some quail.

Beat me to it! Nebraska's is pretty similar, annual permit for $81, but they bend you over with the Habitat Stamp for $20, plus the standard state waterfowl stamp at $5 (No Charge for HIP). Sure beats the hell out of the $180 some I pay for a week of duck/pheasant in NoDak (although I kill about half my ducks/pheasants for the year in that week).

Same as MT, cost me $130 for license, then $55 for waterfowl permit.

Is MT a hot spot for ducks? I would think that they would have a lower fee to encourage more visitors...
