You guys are crazy! I could eat prime rib for dinner every night. I've had bad prime rib that I didn't care for, but a good piece of prime rib is great. Soft and tender with amazing flavor, love the stuff.

Finally we completely agree with each other. Dumb ass kids don't know how to appreciate a great cut of slow roasted beef.

If you are in San Francisco some time go here, you will love it.

Love that place. Been dozen times with my dad.

I've only been to that place once, but it was great. House of Prime Rib for dinner and Dim Sum for brunch the next day in China Town, it was a good trip.

I never made many trips into china town. Now I wanna go.

I've lost whatever respect I had left for you in that last comment of yours.

 I prefer medium/medium rare. The end pieces of prime rib are about perfect for me.

That is a medium rare prime rib right there buddy.

Maybe by your standards.

Most prime rib is on the rare side. Not surprising that a sirloin fan doesn't like it.

You should stick to The Sizzler for your steak.

True. I think that most people (and cooks) tend to stay on the rare side of the spectrum. Much easier to "fix" an undercooked steak than an overcooked steak.

I almost bought one from a company in LA, Chapman if I remember right. Instead I built my Hybrid. Still might pick one up someday.

The Cottonmouth is the one I was going to buy. I see they have added a new one to the lineup, the Mudbug with a square back for mounting a trolling motor or 2 HP motor.

Don't remember the model mine is. It's pointed on both ends. Not sure I'd want an outboard on something as unstable as a pirogue.

The one I have like it doesn't have a maker mark other than a serial number, if memory serves, but came from Black's Marine in Lafayette in the mid '80s. See others like it from time to time and imagine they're still made. Square back is small enough to be a non issue backing through grass but good for mounting a electric trolling for some applications, albeit with cable extension to allow the battery to be up front for better balance. Handier than my canoe for most tasks down here.

I think if it was narrow at the back like I have seen some canoe square ends I would be somewhat hesitant but this one isn't.

That hurts my feelings @

Say what you want, I'm a ribeye guy. I've had too many piss poor prime ribs and filets are good, just snack-sized. It takes a dedicated effort to fuck up a ribeye.

BS. I'd rather eat duck than 90% of the cuts of beef out there. The other 10% are on par.
