Unbiased officiating is a thing of the past. They probably have meetings with money analysts before the game to see which team can make the most money...
for the NCAA.
The select the teams for bowl games based on fan base, not the team.

Sorry FF. Its Cats versus Dogs for the final and the Cats will probably win. Makes sense...
Wrong.

More money in Kentucky or Connecticut?

During last nights UK/ Wisconsin game I found it funny how many times the camera panned over to calipari. How many close ups he got. Now I may have missed one or two but I can't think of one time they gave Bo Ryan any love

Went to a 12-14yr-olds' tourney yesterday just to show support for a grand nephew playing and got so into the game it was over too soon. So I decided to give the big kids another chance and tried to watch both NCAA Semi Finals, but neither game held my interest.

Years ago...the team called the Flying Illini got ripped off so badly.

The game was against Arizona. Their coach complained to refs the night before the game about the Illini playing too rough.

Our center fouled out in two minutes? The entire starting lineup was in instant foul trouble too. It was awful.

The announcer was named Walton and the star of the Arizona team was his son.

Listening to Mr. Walton preach about his fucking sons greatness the entire game sucked.

This house hates Zona, Waltons, and That coach. We were robbed of what would have been a championship. That team...the Flying Illini, was perfect.

Flight 33 ...the Kenny Battle Show. Best ever!

Did anybody have either of these two teams in the ship? Final four even? I thought Kentucky got away with murder in that game, refs let them do whatever the fuck they wanted on offense, Wisconsin was getting called for fouls while they were retreating and still getting pushed.

That's what I saw too. I give credit to Kentucky though, once they figured out that the refs were not going to call offensive, they went ahead and got away with it.

Knowing this, why wouldn't WI get in the lane as time was running out?

Love how everyone bashes UK but not a word said about the walk and jump into Harrison which resulted in 3 FTs? Gee wiz I guess you gotta hate someone. In this game. Do I agree with all the calls? Nope, can we call the refs to get the game changed? Once again the answer is nope. At the end of the day UK is in the championship and other teams are at home crying. I see a lot of things wrong with officiating these days, I agree we should just let them play but to say the calling was all one sided is asinine at best.

When them same refs give the game to UConn... u may change the way you feel.

I'd really like Kentucky to win (for you) .

Wanna bet on the game?

Is saying UK "got away" with more asinine as well? I certainly wouldn't say so.

I don't really have a dog in the fight. We have a Jesuit Priest in the family so I pull for Marquette when I pull for anybody.

UK traveled every third possession as well. WI did a couple times, none of it was called.

i agree with ya man. As hard as that was to say because UK's involved. But too often people piss and moan about a game that appears to be card lopsided. I've watch and have been apart of too many games like that...where at the end one team shot 20 FT's and the other only 7 FT's. On paper it looks lopsided. When the truth is one team defended well while the other team defended with their hands, rather than their feet because they're lesser athletes. The result is a game that appears to have been reffed unfairly.

And ya quack after that foul on the 3 pay shot was called, my wife quickly said "it looks like he traveled." As far as jumping into Harrison. That's just a heady play by a veteran player

they get that "jump-step" or whatever its called.
The game has changed to the point where if we dug up some old retired refs and coaches they'd be disgusted.
They carry the ball constantly nowadays. Watch some slowmo dribbling in the paint. They palm the ball and travel a lot.

Another thing that upsets me about people saying the refs sided with UK was the simple fact of FT's taken and fouls. UK had 17 fouls while Wisc had 18. How someone can say that UK didn't have fouls called is wrong in every way, shape and form. UK played good ball on both ends and played smart. They knew from the calling of the game what would and would not be called and how much they could float that medium. I consider that smart athletes. I am excited to see them play UConn and hopefully pull the win. Granted it will be a hard fought game but I do believe they have it in them. Great teams come together and play as one to win national championships. They always have and always will, UK is doing just that right now. They have really turned up the motivation and desire to win. Harrison is a beast when it comes to clutch shots like in the Wisc and michigan games. He is a great player under pressure. Marcus lee came out of nowhere and I expect great thing to come from him in the years to come. Randall is just a monster defensively and offensively. Johnson will have to use his body a lot to get the rebounds and make tough shots on Monday. It will be a great game for sure. But they must play as a team and control the pace, UCONN did a great job of makings Florida play their game and in the end they prevailed. UK will need to keep the pace of the game in their favor if they want to pull the win and cut the net.

I dislike bowl games/championship games being on anything other than a Friday or Saturday. Just can't really get into them knowing I have to work the next day. That goes for Bowl games, Super Bowl, and the NCAA tournament.
