Not bringing either of my dogs. The old boy only hunts when it is just him and I, because of his bad hips. The youngster isn't socialized well enough to hunt with others.
I have no problem letting Taz and Brandy retrieve anything I might hit.

Murphys Law was in effect, but a few birds were had. Could have been many more. Water conditions are great, gonna be some good hunting.

Ha. Pics can be deceiving, yesterday the douchery was high with this one.

Hopefully with the remote he won't forget what BACK means, as he did yesterday. Thankfully, he made an amazing track and retrieve on a bird that sailed into a pasture. Figured I could feed him for one more day.

It is with a heavy heart that I must send my regrets.

I talked to TK Tuesday, and continued trying to figure out a way to get out there. We're still playing catch up from the wife being unemployed all summer, and I thought we'd be further along. While I could afford the trip, it would cut into the kids' Christmas a little, and I'm not ok with that.

So I will have to live vicariously through the pics you guys post, so make sure there's plenty, and not just of the hunting. Sorry for the late notice, but I didn't want to say anything until I was absolutely certain. I was even hoping there would be a "Black Friday airfare sale" or something this morning, but no dice.

Being an adult is rewarding, but it sucks at times, too, I guess.

Gonna miss ya Jim. No one is upset just sorry we will miss your company. I enjoyed talking with you, we were shucking and jiving and cutting up. I may have to talk Jarbo and GKR into a road trip to the eastern shore some day.....
