Yea Official 2013-2014 WFF East Coast Traveler

It's time to sign up for this year's travelers. WFF is going to be doing two this year! East and West coast decoys. Members RickC and Baysider have stepped up and volunteered to carve this years decoys.

Keeping with WFF tradition the decoys will be non native species to North America. RickC who is doing the West Coast block will be making one of his canvas decoys is doing a Red-Crested Pochard and Baysider who is supplying the East Coaster is carving a Labrador duck! I'm excited to see both their takes on these unique ducks.

Last year we limited the traveler to 15 members and we quickly filled the list. This year with two travelers each will have a limit of 15 members whom have a post count higher than 50 and you will be restricted to signing up for the decoy that you fall under.

The first post of both threads will have the most up to date participates and their dates.

--Rules--

1. Sign up is first come first serve.
2. Start the decoy with the northern most person and let it work it's way down south with the seasons.
3. Everyone that gets the decoy should try and get some good photos of it in the field and share here.
4. Try and setup some group WFF hunts over the decoy if you can.
5. Contribute to the supplied log book.
6. Once you pick a date and sign up make sure you honor that date and try not to swap with others last minute.
7. Do not sign up for the decoy unless you can hunt over it and get it to the next member on time. Make sure you get with the person who is next for their address.
8. Have fun!

Simple map showing the split for the decoys. Sign up for the one you fall under.

Be sure to thank RickC and Baysider for taking their time and personal resources to make and donate these decoys for us to use!

Thanks for making some blocks boys! Can't wait to see 'em!

I think this is where something clever about tapatalk should go.

I'd love to get the east coaster for a hunt! Season runs Oct 1 to Dec18, as of now I can make time anytime for it. Might change with work schedule.

Are the decoys carved yet? If so lets see some pics! I've been meaning to make a few labradors for my sea duck spread, just for the novelty of it. Thanks for donating you time and skill for this guys!

I'd love to be in for the east coaster, but more than likely my best hunts will come the first of September. If its around later in the year I'd fill in for sure.

I will vociferously cheer from the sidelines. The last two years I've had the traveler/rambler, I couldn't even get out to hunt, and the year before that I only pulled the trigger twice.

With my weekend shift, it would be awkward to hunt it and get it out on time for the next guy. If there's a spot I'll take it, but I'll let others get first dibs.

You're making a mistake. He packs a mean care package to accompany the decoy to its next destination.

Thanks Rick, Brew didn't mention he hasn't hunted out of his own boat in 3+ years, not only would he probably hunt it with me he help hold the little bastard while I have my way with it...same way I show his dog who's dominant ;)

I think both travelers should be allowed at both WFF hunts. Why don't we have Jarbo or TK take both for the week of no coast and JR have both for the West coast hunt. Well, what's everyone think about that?

Without even having dates nailed down for those hunts it's going to be a nightmare to schedule it with everyone else trying to get a spot with it. That's just the first thing that comes to mind.

Just leave the 2nd and 3rd weeks of December open on both their schedules for the no coast and the 2nd and 3rd week of Jan open for the west coast. It's not that difficult. We have pending times for both hunts, just not exact dates. Unless I've misread the threads. :duck:
