I am doing a hunt on opening day, Sept. 1.

I'm at the beach that whole week. White marlins are starting to bite good. Probably wont hunt til October.

I known Labor Day weekend. Probably be some pressure. Plus the lake will be full of skiers. I am totally limiting. Should be cake.

I don't go up to hunt...just happens goose opens that weekend, so it's a bonus. We have the whole family and friends up for a party, usually close to 100 people...volleyball, horseshoe, and card tournaments and 40 foot high bonfires.

Yeah. Me2. If not its gunna be one heavy decoy bag. The trip out...five geese is close to 60 pounds or more.

82lber just took the lead, here. Two other boats came back yesterday with 78s, which would have won it the last few years. They just got to feel sad. Instead of being in the running for $950,000, they're now in a contest for $30,000 :lol:

Some sad guys when they saw that 82 posted when they got in.

Giant Canada Geese were imported to Illnois. Not sure when but 12 pounds is a small giant...a juvee.
Will take my fish de-liar and weigh one.
