Today is the day I find out if I am drawn for a MT antelope tag. Couple weeks until the drawing for Kansas mule deer.

Out of steaks and only a few roasts left, need another goat in the freezer.

They are slow on getting the emails out, but I can check my draw status online. Drawing is today, should know this afternoon.

On a side note, a couple years back, I received an email from the Arizona DFG, after I had put in for an elk bow tag. "Congratulations. You have been drawn for an extra 5 bonus points, applied towards your draw status". I didn't make it past "Congratulations. You have been drawn..." before whooping and hollering all over the house. My wife had to read it to me several times, because I refused to believe what it actually said (that I didn't get squat aside from 5 preference points for future draws). They should word their emails more carefully, to avoid unnecessary celebrations. Pricks.
Best of luck to you, though!

I was acting the ass for a good solid minute. Not only had I never seen the end zone before, you would have thought I had never played the sport and didn't even know what an end zone was. It was ugly. When my wife finally got it through my head, I was so depressed I couldn't even be angry. She actually felt a little sorry for me, that's how bad it was.

That's good stuff! If I act like an ass, there is no one here to see it, that is a good thing. When your whole life is dedicated to making an ass of your self, this would be par for the course.

How can you still have lope in the freezer? I shot 2 goats last year and don't even have any burger left. I buy points and only put in every third year. Good luck with the draw.

You get a lot of meat off a big goose, shoot more of them than anything. Didn't do points this year, if not I will still be making the trip to hunt upland and waterfowl.

Nasty trick! They shouldn't do this to a man when he hasn't been allowed to kill anything in almost three months, he is already on edge.
Special Drawing Status
Please Note: The antelope drawings have been delayed awaiting population survey results. Antelope and antelope B license drawings will take place Friday, July 20 and will be posted here at that time.

You cna bet they're not doing it because they think they undercounted them and want to INCREASE the number of tags. Not a chance in hell.

One of these years I will hunt them in Kansas. I see them all the time while pheasant hunting. A buddy of mine his family has a huge ranch in SC-SW Kansas, it has a bunch of goats, can't hunt there, it is not part of the antelope hunting zone. Pisses me off.

Have you seen Harold and Kumar when they are wanting to cross the street?
