That I see something, and think "sonofabitch, I really want one to buy one of those". But when I came across this, that's what happened. No idea why.

Although I'm quite certain that when they finally set an MSRP, I'll be singing a different tune.

If by "around $500" you mean "$403", I may splurge.

I have a .380 now. Stand 15 feet in front of me and say "fuck .380" We can also try it with .22, if you'd like.

I've used almost that exact same line when selling .380's (and 9) to people with that same attitude. Cracks me up when people dog the either as a defensive round, I usually just say "If you've ever been shot by a 9 mm, please raise your hand". Then when they look at me funny, I ask them if they would like to stand 10 yards away and let a few bullets "pass through" them.

There will be a market for them but I will not be buying one. A kel tech pf9 is the same size in 9mm and I believe it's a few ounces lighter too.
If you are diggin that style of 380, check out Remington's new model 51. Sucker looks sweet (actually not attractive but seems set up very smartly)! Even has a single action trigger with a grip safety only and an internal hammer. I will see if I can find a link.

That is why I bought my wife a Ruger SR22. I wanted to get her something that wouldn't make her recoil shy and something that she would feel comfortable shooting. She can center mass the whole magazine at 20 yards. That is good enough for clearing the house if her life is threatened.

Haven't glock had a .380 for years but couldn't sell it in American due to import reason?

According to the article I read, they have a model which is only available to law enforcement here, and has been for many years. Which is pretty much bullshit, but whatever.
That does look good, but it's a 9mm. I don't want a 9mm. Not because of the round, but because I already have 2 .380s, and don't want to start buying yet another kind of ammunition. (And I really like Glocks, truth be told.)

There's a TON of Glock Hate out there, usually centered on the way they look. Which makes sense, because there's not a damn thing they can say about how they function.

Can't remember where, but I read they will be releasing other calibers shortly after the un vailing. I would bet they will be 380 and 40. Do you see the price though? Sounds like a lot of pistol for what you pay.
