I put a 4-horse trolling motor on my carsten pintail. You'd think it would fly...not so much.
If I put the drill motor on and raced FF in his...I bet he could win with a paddle. Probably go five times faster if not more.

When my buddy Mike Jones saw it he called it a 4-horse. It´s only 40# of thrust. Meant for a bass boat. I bet it IS 4-horse with two batteries (24 volts).

You should be going faster than that. My dad has a 45thrust on his. 1440 Jon boat and it will do 5mph.

A kara is not built for speed at all. Its built for stabilty which makes it slow as hell.

My Carsten Pintail layout boat scoots pretty good with the trolling motor on but...the damned state wants me to title and register basically a canoe for it to be legal.
After it taking six months and I still don´t have a title on a simple title transfer...I just don´t want to spend any time fucking with them anymore. I will paddle to spite them bastards.

So if you put that drill-motor on your boat it better have lights and everyfuckingthing.
It puts you into the expensive zone of boating once you got a motor.
