Agreed on any water big enough to have 5 footers, I will always have a mvp hanging on my lanyard.

I tried taking FF's but his hand is twice as big as mine...he held on to that Ivory baby tight.

On lakes with 5 foot waves you don't hunt from a tin can.

I use a 1640 river Jon. Its not ideal but if I cling to the leeward shore and launch from the right side...I'm ok and been doing it in that boat since 1978. Clinton Lake is long, skinny, shallow, and gets rough quick.

Not that thin. But it's not a mud hull with an 1/8" bottom.

What happens with a flat boat on ice. ...
If it's more than one and a half inch or so and you get up on top trying to break it...you are stuck and better be an air boat or you are so fucked.

I know it never gets icy in Louisiana. That is why he don't need an MV.

Where I hunted in LA, near the Atchafalaya, my mod-v pointy front mirrocraft deep fisherman was looked at like an alien space craft. If lived there if have a flat bottom, no ribs with a 1/4" thick bottom and a hell of a big motor
