In the 1970's I delivered newspapers when it was -25 with wind chill of -65. It was not uphill both ways. Its Illinois Flatlands. ..lol

I lived in Illinois from 3rd through 6th grade. We used to huddle behind parked cars waiting for the school bus to push its way through snow drifts. When I inhaled my snot would freeze. I remember fumbling with could hands to get my snowsuit zipper down fast enough not to piss myself with the urgency brought on by the sudden temperature change of coming inside.

Touch screens don't work for shit with cold hands. How are today's youth supposed to text each other in conditions like that? Just think of the children.

It just dawned on me that there are no kids that walk to school. Well, maybe a couple but I see the traffic jam at the grade school every day twice a day.

My sisters kids live about 1/4 mile from their school and are usually dropped off, never walk alone. Some deranged lunatic might get 'em!

It will get worse, once they prove they are born that way, they will be protected and it will be taught in school and accepted.....oh wait, maybe it is too late.

they made us walk when I was in elementary school because we were within a half mile

You don't know what cold is until you move to South Texas and the temperature drops to 39 degrees. Fuck these cold fronts from the north.
