Well Olly, it's official, you're law enforcement. It must be true, it's even on the internet.

Our govt. throws around the word "cartel" like they don't understand what it means.
The article implies there are multiple drug cartels.
By definition...a cartel is singular and cannot be plural.
Can't read the rest since its obviously bullshit propaganda.

Don't listen to that article it's all lies. Everyone knows the USCG is just full of a bunch of lazy wanna be's who like to surf and smoke weed all day while playing pew pew with hand me down weapons from the Korean war days. We aren't the military, we aren't law enforcment. Just a bunch of wanna be posers.
Just a waste of tax payers dollars if you ask me.

When the shit hits the fan every single one of us will be "homeland security". The powers that be will form a huge ring of us all around themselves for protection.
Cannon fodder is all we are to our govt.
I love America.
Hate it's govt.
Sorry but I think we all feel this way.

It's not worth it. Really. Just 5 pages of a wanna be "I was gonna" telling me I'm not in the REAL military and I let it get to me which I'm ashamed of.

You guys better quit making fun of my thread. This stuff is serious. It's about national security and, who is responsible for it. It's at least as serious as a boat build......maybe.

Looks like they will be down-sizing the U S Armed Forces from somewhat over 570,000 to fewer than 450,000.......I think that's what I heard on the news this evening.
Olly might soon have to have a real job in the Coast Guard.

They are fun as shit to shoot. I didn't want to stop the few times I've got to fire one. The 2nd time I got to fire it I was on a TAD tour (3 weeks filling in for another non rate boarding team member) on the CGC Dauntless and I won the moral raffle that day and got to do a full can dump. It was bad ass, they floated an abandoned boat we had towed off shore and sank it. I sadly didn't fire the shots that actually sent it down but I tried my hardest! Damn thing kept floating.

The USCG is not reducing any numbers. In fact we have a huge recruiting mission next year.
War or no war the USCG always has a mission.
Any prior service guys with less than 6 years service go talk to a CG recruiter if you want to continue your military career and your branch is separating you.

CG doesn't take anyone with over 6?

Not for active duty. High tenure is the reason why.
