10 days until early goose here in MI, and 30 until duck. This time of year I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas.

I know how you feel. The past few mornings, its been about 50-55 on my way into work. The geese are starting to pattern. I love it.

If I don't get over this cold I won't be making duck season.

That would never happen at our shop. They wanted me to work Saturday but I'm guzzling theraflu trying to get better so I can squirrel hunt and fish.

You guys need to get out more. All this being sick and such. I was sick three years ago and can't remember before that. I prepare by constantly biting my fingernails, eating foods cooked rare, never washing my hands, spending a majority of my day outside, and running 4-5 miles a day. Seems to work.

The average male gets the common cold 2 times a year. I'm okay with being average.

1 week from tomorrow I will be heading a couple hours west to Abilene to scout for dove and drink some beer. Saturday morning I plan putting lots of lead in the air.

Damn statistics making me look like an a-hole.

In all honesty, I have never been the one to get sick my whole life. Probably due to the amount of sickness in the family. Seemed like there was always someone sick in my house.

I doubt that. I mean look at that guy. He's super white but doesn't have red hair. Gingervitis to the extreme.

Wait until you have kids. Schools and daycares are little germ factories. I usually get The Crud around the second week of school and shake it around thanksgiving.

I never get full on sick. Usually around temp changes my allergies get the best of me. It still doesn't slow me down much.

My malaria makes sure I get "sick" fairly regular, although only for a very short time.

I look at it as pre season football. Lots of fun, but not the real thing.

I hope Jarbo can find us a few teal after he is done with those midget pigeons :D

ON a more interesting note, I have a pretty good coyote path going across my land. I have seen them less than 100 yards from my back door. I am ready to thin them out.

In the coming weeks I hope to get our young Dr his first coyote. That would put him ahead of Jehler and Jr. :scooter:

Sounds like you got the malaria, too. But mine only lasts about 24-30 hours. That day is usually a pretty interesting ride, though.

I rarely get sick, but I seem to take a few sick days from work each year. Usually it's a self induced sickness.
